Korean Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics And Gynecology

Soo-young Oh

Welcome Message from the President of KSUOG

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

I am Soo-young Oh, the 15th President of the Korean Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (KSUOG).

Since its inception in March 1997, KSUOG has been driven by a steadfast mission: to "disseminate knowledge and foster academic discourse on ultrasound-based diagnosis and treatment" within the rapidly evolving landscape of obstetrics and gynecology.

Over the past decades, our society has achieved remarkable growth both domestically and internationally. This progress is a testament to the visionary leadership of our past presidents, the dedicated efforts of our pioneers, and the unwavering passion of our members. In particular, the successful hosting of the 2023 ISUOG Congress served as a definitive showcase of KSUOG’s world-class capabilities.

As we approach our 30th anniversary, we are committed to further globalizing our reach, strengthening ties with our international peers, and elevating the standards of ultrasound education. During my tenure, I will prioritize the following three strategic pillars:

1. Global Advancement and Exchange
Building upon the legacy of our senior members, I will strive to create even more opportunities for our society to shine on the global stage. We will foster international exchange through initiatives such as the KSUOG Precongress, featuring sessions conducted entirely in English. These programs will provide a vital platform for the next generation of obstetricians and gynecologists to advance into the international arena.

2. Evidence-Based Clinical Excellence
We will synthesize KSUOG’s official recommendations by integrating international guidelines with high-quality local data that reflects Korea’s unique clinical environment. Our goal is to provide a clear, practical guide for our members, ultimately ensuring the highest standard of care and a safer medical environment for our patients.

3. Fostering the Next Generation
Despite the complex challenges facing our field, we remain dedicated to the mentorship and education of young specialists. We will strive to build a supportive community where young doctors who have chosen this noble profession can grow, find encouragement, and excel together.

A Special Invitation to the 29th KSUOG Congress

In line with our commitment to globalization, I would like to highlight that this year's Precongress will be conducted in English, focusing on fetal heart and brain imaging. We look forward to your active participation and hope to see you in Incheon on October 23-24, 2026. May you and your families enjoy a year filled with health and happiness.

Thank you.

Soo-young Oh,
the 15th President of KSUOG
