In 2003, the KSUOG published the <Diagram on Ultrasound Diagnosis of Fetal Abnormalities> to assist members with their diagnosis and researches. The KSUOG also published 2nd and 3rd edition in 2009 and 2015 respectively after adding latest contents. Furthermore, the KSUOG published an e-book in 2016 to make the contents to be available on computers and mobile phones whenever and wherever.
In 2007, the KSUOG published the 1st edition on ultrasound in gynecology and published the 2nd edition as an e-book in 2017. The characteristics of the 2nd edition includes:
The gynecological diseases category was subdivided into the uterus, ovary, and endometrial cavity to include 18 main categories in the 2nd edition. Also, the 2nd edition categorizes abnormal uterine bleeding and pelvic pain, the commonly known clinical symptoms, into main categories to enable symptom-based approach of ultrasound in gynecology. Furthermore, latest HIFU materials are added to ultrasound in interventional procedure chapter. In addition, thyroid ultrasound incorporated into the breast ultrasound category. Ultrasound in appendix and hernia were newly added, as well as diagnosis of gynecological condition on CT and MRI of pelvis. Hence, the 2nd edition attempted to include ultrasound on gynecology, comprehensive imaging methodologies, and latest interventional procedures for proper diagnosis and treatment of gynecological patients. E-book having concisely written and containing high-resolution images, it will be highly utilized to assist all many clinicians and residents in training.
“산부인과 초음파 쉽게 배우기” is a Korean version of the ISUOG eBook Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology: A Practical Approach that was translated by the members of the KSUOG. The book provides general information on ultrasonic examination in obstetrics and gynecology. The ISUOG ebook has been created in collaboration with former Outreach Committee Chair Dr. Alfred Abuhamad, Dr Dario Paladini, Dr Philippe Jeanty and Dr Rabih Chaouhi in offering the basics in ultrasound training through virtual means.
